Hier bij Textile Center nemen we als groothandel in Stoffen en Fournituren duurzaamheid zeer serieus. Dit maken we waar door gebruik te maken van gerecyclede dozen, het scheiden van ons plastic en papierafval en met een groot assortiment aan gecertificeerd Oeko-Tex fabrics.
OEKO-TEX and other certificates
When thinking of sustainability in textiles, OEKO-TEX might be the first thing that comes to mind. OEKO-TEX is an international certification system that tests textiles for harmful substances. The goal of OEKO-TEX is to ensure that textiles are free from harmful chemicals and meet human-ecological safety standards. Our fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified. This means that they are guaranteed to be free from harmful substances.
At Textile Center, we are certified with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which is the most well-known of its certifications, and it's tests for over 100 potentially harmful substances. Textiles that receive the OEKO-TEX certification can be used with confidence, knowing that they have been tested and found to be safe for human health and the environment. Afval scheiden en het gebruik van gerecyclede dozen
Ook buiten ons textiel is duurzaamheid belangrijk. Niet alleen verminderen we afval door onze reststoffen een tweede leven te geven, ook scheiden we ons plastic- en papierafval. Onze grote rollen worden opgeslagen in plastic. Dit betekent dat er tijdens het doubleer process van onze stoffen een grote hoeveelheid plastic afval ontstaat. Omwille van de duurzaamheid vinden wij het cruciaal om het plastic te scheiden van ons restafval.
Onze fournituren worden echter in dozen bewaard in plaats van in plastic. Minder plastic gebruiken is ook een groot onderdeel van duurzaamheid bij Textile Center. Na verloop van tijd moeten deze dozen worden vervangen, omdat ze hun kracht verliezen. Bij het verpakken van deze producten in nieuwe dozen worden de oude dozen gescheiden van het restafval.
Daarnaast zorgen we ervoor dat we alleen dozen gebruiken die gemaakt zijn van gerecyclede materialen. Of het nu gaat om het verpakken voor de export of het opslaan van onze producten, duurzaamheid staat altijd voorop.
