How we stay on top of the game with great care for sustainability.

Here at Textile Center, as a wholesaler in Fabrics and Haberdashery, we take sustainability very serious. We live up to this this by using recycled boxes, separating our plastic and paper waste, and with a large assortment of certified Oeko-Tex fabrics.
OEKO-TEX and other certificates

When thinking of sustainability in textiles, OEKO-TEX might be the first thing that comes to mind. OEKO-TEX is an international certification system that tests textiles for harmful substances. The goal of OEKO-TEX is to ensure that textiles are free from harmful chemicals and meet human-ecological safety standards. Our fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified. This means that they are guaranteed to be free from harmful substances.
At Textile Center, we are certified with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which is the most well-known of its certifications, and it's tests for over 100 potentially harmful substances. Textiles that receive the OEKO-TEX certification can be used with confidence, knowing that they have been tested and found to be safe for human health and the environment. Along with the well-known OEKO-TEX, here is a list of all our certificates:

Separating waste and using recycled boxes
Sustainability is also important outside of our textiles. Not only do we reduce waste by giving our residual fabrics a second life, we also separate our plastic and paper waste. Our large rolls are stored in plastic. This means that a large amount of plastic waste is created during the process of folding our fabrics. For the sake of sustainability we think it's crucial to separate the plastic from our other waste.
However our haberdashery products are stored in boxes instead of plastic. Using less plastic is also a big part of sustainability at Textile Center. Overtime these boxes need replacement, as they lose their strength. When packing these products in new boxes, the old boxes will be separated from other waste.
In addition we make sure to only use boxes made from recycled materials. Whether it's using them for packing for export or storing our products, sustainability is always a priority.
